It is the responsibility of participants to book and arrange their accomodation at Nainital.

Milky Way Voyage recommends the following hotels for the participants to stay

1.    Sarovar Tourist Rest House (KMVN), Tallital, 05942 - 235570, 231503

This hotel is locally known as TRC, short for tourist reception centre. It has several double bed and 4 bed rooms. The hotel is close to the Tallital bus stop from where the shuttle service to Milky Way Voyage will be available. Limited parking is available on the highly inclined road to the Hotel. The Hotel is a standard government run hotel. It can be booked by paying 100% advance at many booking centre all over India.

Additionally Milky Way Voyage is in a period of off season, 50% discount on above rates will be applicable.

Another accommodation option in Nainital city is KMVN Sukhatal, but right on the other side of the town as Tallital and far from the bus stop.

We will endeavour to make a bulk booking in Hotel Sarovar. Booking will be made on 100% advance basis. The last date for making payment to us is 15th January, 2008.

This hotel has 20 double bed rooms. All except 5 rooms have an extra bed installed already. The hotel is clean with excellent service and delicious fresh home made food. Each room has balconies with great and complete view of the Nainital Lake. The reflecting panorama is spectacular at night. We are negotiating with the owner for a further discount for Milky Way Voyage participants. At present the tariff is as follows:

This hotel is a heritage property right on the Mall and overlooking the lake. The benefit of this hotel is that you do not have to climb up any incline or mountain path.
